Ken's Diary - The red carpet Place Vendôme
|"By making my greeting card for the year 2016, an image stayed in my head, and this image was the key to my entire collection Winter 2016: I wanted a more couture collection, more elegant, more artistic ... I dreamed of a new spirit, a very luxurious atmosphere ...
Et quoi de plus représentatif que la place Vendôme?"
The designer Ken Okada, known for his playful and uncluttered creations, joins the "Place Vendôme" parade with the French jeweler Lorenz Bäumer, whose creations mix poetry and architecture. On this occasion, the two creators combine passion and creativity for a trip between Kyoto and Paris. They invite you to a dialogue where Lorenz Bäumer's ornaments will enrich Ken Okada's couture creations.
If the sun is scarce in this month of May, the Cannes Film Festival is very much at the rendezvous. Every year, the city is transformed into the top of international cinema and the streets are adorned with stars and rhinestones.
For a dozen days, actresses from around the world, dressed in sublime dresses, parade on the red carpet of the Croisette before climbing the famous 24 "marches of glory".
If haute couture dresses are a custom, very few actresses have dared to wear a shirt during the festival. But I always thought that it would be very elegant and very suitable for a prestigious ceremony.
I would be delighted and honored by the actor actress Juliette Binoche or the director Sofia Coppola during a grand ceremony, as they are for me the reflection of the modern and chic woman.
Some pictures of my last parade that took place on April 7, 2016, at Lorenz Baümer, Place Vendôme. With these beautiful models breathing purity and elegance, do not we say real stars ready to step on the famous red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival?
