Iconic product of the brand, Ken Okada’s shirt represents the essence of the brand imagined for an active, independent and elegant woman.

Ken Okada’s shirt is distinguished notably by its high collar, long musketeer cuffs and apparent sewing clips giving an ‘upside down’ look, which is very structured and very trendy.

It’s a very researched garment that Ken Okada put in scene through contrasting cuts between classic/not classic cuts, and structured/unstructured.

Ken Okada deconstructs the traditional cuts to rebuild it better.

The Japanese creator wanted to offer a very classic and professional shirt, an incomparable weapon combining independence and creativity.

Innovation and originality are the key to the design of each Ken Okada’s piece. This it what makes their difference, and their strength.

The attention to details and precision make the subtlety of the brand.
Fluidity of the cuts and materials determine the style of Ken Okada’s collections.
They are the result of a ‘classic/not classic’ work with a lot of asymmetries, details and pleats.
Ken likes to wear her shirts in a fun way: back to front, upside down… Sewing clips are always visible from the outside, it s her signature.

The gesture is really important in her work and state of mind. Ken Okada uses the techniques of molding and patronage paper to realize the models in her fashion workshop.

Ken Okada makes the patronage like origami or paintings.

She has the feeling of “painting” them with her pens and scissors.
It’s really important for her because “if the patronage is not beautiful, the shirt will not be beautiful either”.

She works in speed but with perfect mastery of her technique acquired at the prestigious Bunka Fashion College of Tokyo.

The old rose is her fetish color, inherited from the Japanese tradition;, and gray, the expression of her emancipation on her arrival in France.

At a time that values Glamor, Ken Okada prefers to make clothes in a refined style, using transparent materials often that can be sensual and sometimes even erotic.

Quality is primordial for the designer.

That’s why she spends a lot of time choosing the fabrics of her collection. Once chosen, the fabrics are imported from Italy mostly, but also from other European countries such as France or Portugal. Diversity and wealth of fabrics is what makes Ken Okada’s apparel so unique.

The creation takes place in her fashion workshop, in Saint Germain des Près.

And once the models are confirmed, the production varies:

-       The Coats and the other small-scale productions are made in France

-       The shirts and production in bigger scale productions are made in Portugal

A 100% quality for timeless clothes which will only beautify with time.

Creations that the years will never extinguish.

For Ken Okada, efficiency and precision are the basis of any success. It also values exceptional quality. But above all, she wanted to create a brand capable of offering something special, proper to her.

Ken Okada wants to make beautiful creations a little different from others to assume her personality.

She wants to create a garment worthy of the person who wears it so that he feels special, different.

The Ken Okada’s garment is timeless. It’s a piece that the customer will always proudly display in his wardrobe.

Moreover, customers often come to visit her wearing a piece dating from the first Ken Okada’s collection!

Receiving customers from all over the world, Ken Okada appreciates the fact that her foreign customers always come to visit her when they come to Paris.

It is a mythical address that customers revisit every time they travel, a meeting point…
